A2: Abstract Photography
Assignment Prompt: ”Use framing, light, color, reflections, unique points of view, and the rendering capabilities of aperture and shutter speed to create images that present the ‘real world’ in a new and unique way.”

“Abstract photography deals with isolating a specific portion of an object or scene to see the details presented out of context. Abstract photography is concerned with the real world, however, the viewer will make associations that they normally wouldn’t. Knowing the medium is a photograph, the viewer sees the familiar in a new way. ‘Abstract’ does not necessarily mean unrecognizable or non-referential, but we do want to take the image out of context”.
